A group of medical personnel from Kelowna and area, including my wife's brother and her parents, went to Nicaragua in February to do some surgeries and provide for other medical needs among some of the population there.

Just two days ago (26 March 2008) an elementary school teacher from St. Albans, Queens, went to South Korea with an investigator from the American Association For Lost Children, to reunite with her son who had been kidnapped by the boys Korean father. This organization is doing exceptional work tracking down lost kids and reuniting them with their families.
