While the Democratic and Republican primaries yawned on, Eli Manning and the rest of the N.Y. Giants were celebrating their victory over the previously 18-0 New England Patriots. The last time there were crowds like this on the streets of Manhattan was 9-11.

The only in modern NFL history to have a completely undefeated season right through the Superbowl was the 1972 Miami Dolphins, who won the Superbowl and ended the season with a 17-0 record. This was the Giants' first Superbowl win in 17 years.
